FAIRER FUNDING FOR SURREY'S ROADS.

Surrey CC

We call upon the Government to reform the Fairer Funding Formula to ensure there is enough money for road repair and up-keep. The current method for calculating the grant for such work unfairly penalises Surrey. The calculation should give more weight to traffic flow and level of usage.

Please sign this vital petition to raise the issue of unfair funding for Surrey's Roads. We need 10k signatures for a response, 100k signatures to generate a parliamentary debate. Whatever your political outlook everyone needs to sign this petition. Please take a few moments to sign and share it with your contacts. Thank you.

DEVELOPING A VISION FOR SURREY IN 2030.

Surrey CC

Local Government as a whole is under significant pressure with increasing demand and significant funding pressures. Councils and public services of the future need to shift towards a more place based, outcome driven model working together with residents to improve outcomes, manage demand more effectively, deliver infrastructure and generate new income sources to fund public services.

To help guide this work, and ensure that we have a shared level of ambition across the county, the Council is asked to endorse the draft vision and 'Surrey County Council of the future' as the basis for a series of engagement activities to enable residents, staff, members, partners and businesses to shape a draft vision for Surrey in 2030. Council are also asked to note the timeline for future work related to the vision and the associated programme of transformation.

"There is a public meeting at Runnymede Borough Coucil Offices on 19th September 2018, Where you are invited to attend and provide your support for this programme of work. I will provide more information nearer the time. All I ask now is that you note the date in your diary. Thank you.

Surrey CC A30 RUNNYMEDE ROUNDABOUT EGHAM, IMPROVEMENT SCHEME - SCHEME OVERVIEW.

The Runnymede Roundabout scheme involves improvements to the layout on all approaches to the roundabout and to the roundabout itself. The scheme will create additional carriageway lanes within some parts of the junction and the creation of a new 'U' turn facility for traffic heading towards Staines upon Thames from the M25 motorway. This facility will allow vehicles to avoid negotiating the main part of the junction. Traffic lights will be installed throughout the junction to control the traffic 24 hours a day which will incorporate controlled crossing facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
